THE SOUVENIR SHOP

T he Fort Castle’s souvenir shop can be found outside of what is now known as the Fortress, in the cannon tower at the same location as the cashiers.

In the upper story of the wrongly called “Rondella” or round tower, a film is shown about the 2016 excavations of the area of the Hussar castle, setting the mood to the visitor. On top of local artisan goods (jams, honeys and syrups) other high quality memorabilia can also be purchased. In the shop, one can find publications and books about the town’s history, characteristics and places of interest. The visitors have the opportunity to create medallions and to purchase unique period maps.
